For this post I wanted to do something different. I was working on wireframes for my other class project and my team member suggested a great application called Invision. It can be located here: http://www.invisionapp.com .
This website as it claims, will help you convert your static wireframes into animated. You can add actions to buttons within your wireframe and assign functionalities to it like, going to the next page, going to a specific website, opening up an image file etc. You can also collaborate on your designs by sharing it with people, and compare versions in a single screen. You can also export your entire project into PDF. And the best of all, its completely FREE!
I think it is a great tool for creating wireframes or prototypes. The benefit of having such design is that users can seamlessly move around the website prototype with actual clicks. It gives them a better feel of the application as opposed to using paper prototypes for usability testing. As a designer too, it gives you a better understanding of the flow of your design and ultimately helps you improve it. I think it is an extremely useful tool and I am looking forward to using it for my projects.
