Arguing over IA and UX

I’m from the HCI/d program and I’ve been immersed in literature from this perspective for the last 1.5 years. One of the themes in the literature is basically: If people just listened to UX designers, everything would be awesome. Now that I’ve been reading lots of IA readings they are basically saying the same thing, but about IA. If people would just listen to and appreciate Information Architects, everything would be awesome. So who to believe? Thats why I really loved this diagram by Peter Boersma.

Everyone should focus on the user experience design. Not just UX designers or Information Architects. Everyone. When everyone from the copywriters to the programmers are striving to create the a great user experience, only then will it actually happen.
